Meet the Artists


There are many amazing artists living in Western Australia and I am very honoured to have been given the opportunity to collaborate with the below Artists to create scented soy candles with unique visual appeal by showcasing their stunning artwork on the Six Scents candle labels.

BRETT McPHERSON - 'Beneath the Waves' candle

A retired Senior Art Director, Brett has worked in some of Perth's largest advertising agencies for over 35 years. Brett loves to paint landscapes. seascapes and the human form with his style of painting traditional / realism and using mother natures colours as she intended them to be.


BUFFIE CORUNNA - 'Rainfall' candle

Buffie is a Noongar Yorga - Aboriginal Women of the Noongar Nation, born in Albany, WA. Buffie loves spending time with those that she loves and has a strong bond with her family. Much of her work is greatly influenced by family, cultural connections, emotions and relationships.

MEL MCVEE - 'Rainbow Warrior' Candle


Mel is a multi-disciplinary artist working primarily in the realms of community art, murals, sculpture and illustration.  With a Fine Arts degree from Curtin University, Mel’s interest in public art emerged through a passion in community activation projects in her local area.

KIM MAPLE - 'Pink Forest' candle


Kim has had 35 solo gallery exhibitions around Australia and overseas. After obtaining her Diploma in Fine Art from Perth Technical College in the early 70's Kim worked as a graphic artist and an illustrator. Her extensive practical exploration, is influenced by extended travel through the South West karri forests and Margaret River region, Maple's work expresses a contemporary appreciation for the unique West Australian bush.

JON (YAWURU WANDERER) - 'Pink Sands' candle

‘Yawuru’ land is where Jon’s father is from so it was fitting for him to call his Instagram account ‘Yawuru. Wanderer’ in honour of his family connection with the land and his natural wandering nature.

Jon is a skilled and talented drone photographer who loves capturing photos in the Kimberley region where the colours are so unique that you can’t help but fall in love with the place.

 CLAIRE TINCEY - 'Aloha' candle

Claire paints in watercolour, inspired by travel and sunny summer days. Bright and dreamy is her style and in her range you can find world maps, flamingoes, pineapples and mermaids, to her newest obsession - cactus's and plants!

Starting out painting originals, she has expanded her range to include; prints, linen, cushions, stationary, homewares and pamper care - where they sit proudly on the shelves at two of Claire's stores - C+Co. The Artisan Collective.
